In hosting with APT we are responsible for keeping all of the required severs optimised and keeping everything working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.

Daily backups are taken of all of your data with immediate recovery available for the last 14 days with further backups retained for up to 3 months of recovery.

Utilising a worldwide leader in data centre provision, APT selected Rackspace as their global provider for the infrastructure required. With data centres in London, UK and Sydney, Australia we have fully joined up systems allowing round the clock support of the systems.

When you take the hosting option it is our responsibility to continually optimise the servers and take data backups.  This can significantly reduce risk to an organisation.  We manage the relationship with Rackspace and ensure the security of the data at all times.  

Backups

In hosting with APT, we are responsible for optimising the server environment and also producing backups.  Backup at Rackspace is done on a nightly basis with a two week “quick recovery” option and a monthly “slow recovery” option. Any data restored from the last couple of weeks is generally done within a couple of hours (dependent on the size of the data to recover) and any further back than that requires up-to a day to complete.
